Windy Peak New Release

Windy Peak has a fresh, new modern look. Available from September the range now includes two unique additions.

We are introducing Classic White and Nouveau Shiraz. They are hybrid wines that show some difference, either in philosophy or varietal mix. We have included some vibrant ‘fleur’ on these particular labels to give them a spring feel.

The 2009 Classic White blend is about freshness, interest and drinkability. Sauvignon Blanc toned down with some Grigio and Semillon and then revved up with some Sardinian savouriness and zest from a variety called Vermentino. The 2009 Nouveau Shiraz is light to medium red that is light enough to drink chilled and complex enough at room temperature to be compatible with generously flavoured food. It is made using a winemaking method called ‘maceration carbonique’ and the aromas and flavours associated with this technique are pepper, spice and freshness and character. It is modern and fresh and is a sign of the interesting things happening to the range, led by winemaker Steve Webber.

Our Pinot Noir Chardonnay Rosé has also undergone a make over and the packaging (and name) reflects the beautiful pink colour of the wine, taking advantage of customer trend towards this style.
